When designing a website, the user experience is extremely important. It doesn’t matter if it has a great look, if the site is not friendly and easy to use then you will find yourself in a pretty bad position. You’ll see visitors getting irritated and in the end, a traffic loss.

Back in the good old days of the web 1.0 and web 2.0, making the website as bling-bling-ish as you could was the main objective; the information was positioned in the second place right behind the aesthetics. Nowadays, the focus shifted from opulence to practicality or even minimalism.
