Can AI really design a logo like a human designer?

In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) is gaining immense popularity. This technology has been growing at a rapid rate. The first constraints that AI faced in computational needs have long been removed. In fact, the progress of the AI technology forces us to ask a crucial question: Will AI replace human beings in the future?

Machine-based learning is growing by leaps and bounds. The tools and information are now being applied to applications that were conventionally handled by humans. Logo designing is an area that traditionally needed a designer to conceptualize and create designs. However, today logos can be designed using AI with no human involvement. But are these logos equivalent in design, innovation, and concept to those created by a human designer? Let us explore this facet further.

AI can assist designers with time-consuming and repetitive tasks. In fact, this technology can allow designers to focus on problem-solving rather than spending inordinate amounts of time on tedious tasks. While an efficient AI system can process work faster than a designer, we still need designers to connect with customers and undertake decisions on digital channels. Designers are required to understand emotions and complex briefs.

The integral role of designers is bound to change over the next few years. Nowadays, designing does not merely entail interacting with shapes and colors. The scope of a designer’s job description is broadening. Presently, it is unclear whether designing in general means creating better digital user experiences or making intelligent machines that are capable of doing routine tasks.

The role of human designers is vital; however, this role will change in scope in the coming years. AI is here to stay, and now we can even create logos on a machine without any human intervention.
