This amazing house was build by Manuel Aires Mateus in 2010 on the outskirts of Leiria, Portugal. Even if it looks like a typical house, if you look closer you will see that it doesn’t have windows…and that’s the first unusual thing.
The functionality of this house is very traditional and is divided into spaces or private rooms and a social area or communal spaces. Private areas were located under the ground level around a central empty room with private patios to enhance the status of privacy.
