The headline is the most important part of a message because it’s purpose is to attract the user in a split of a second. A good headline will only give out the necessary information to lure the audience, so besides the carefully picked words, typography is the next most important factor. The style must be as intriguing as the story but not extremely complicated because the reader must understand the message very fast. A good font can make the difference between a few viewers and a viral that can attract millions of readers. In this article you can see a collection of 20 premium headline fonts which are perfect for catchy headlines.

Diamonds
The Diamonds type family was designed by Hannes von Döhren in 2012. It is an experimental search for geometric new letterforms, which are still easy to read and generate some unexpected attention. Hannes wanted to create a straight and clear typeface but pull away from the path of classic and well learned letter shapes.
Pluto
Pluto – and its straight companion Pluto Sans – was designed by Hannes von Döhren in 2012. The whole family consists of 16 Pluto Uprights, 16 Pluto Italics, 16 Pluto Sans Uprights and 16 Pluto Sans Italics; 64 fonts in all.
Neuron
Neuron puts a chemist’s twist on standard block-style print to create a fresher version of the elemental alphabet. Widely spaced letters and a slightly tall x-height have a clean effect for great readability. Squarish shapes are stylized to retain curved tails, achieving a neutral appearance that makes it very versatile.
Museo
Museo… it all started with my love for the letter ‘U’. This uppercase letter just came to me as an image in a daydream. The top of both stems bent into semi-slab serifs. From this principle I worked out the rest of the uppercase letters. My first intention was to make it an all-caps display font, but after a while, I changed my mind. I wanted it to be a bit more versatile, so I decided to add lowercase and adjust spacing and kerning to increase legibility.
Samantha
Samantha was designed with a focus on variety, versatility, beauty and practicality. With measured rhythm and contrasting, connected strokes, Samantha possesses a flowingly smooth elegance with the ability to take on many appearances, from simple styling to the fanciest of all flourishes with its 2700+ glyphs that take advantage of OpenType.
CPL Kirkwood
CPL Kirkwood is a distressed condensed bold slab and sans serif typeface. With both the serif and sans serif type options, it can be used in a broad range of design works. Included is a set of Extras that give the typeface an array of symbols, lines and banners.
Lust
Lust is my overly indulgent attempt to infuse wanton sensuality in a typeface. I wanted to create something that was over the top but veered away from my loose “sushi” scripts, Fugu and Nori, yet was altogether reliable, without the rigidity akin to my Aaux Next series — but it had to be, well, a little sexy. The solution was to create a curvy serif.
SofiaPro
Originally designed in 2008 by Olivier Gourvat, this font family gives an impression of modernism, harmony and roundness. These nuances give Sofia a harmonious and sensible appearance for both texts and headlines. Redesigned in 2012, this typeface supports a wide range of languages with more than 500 glyphs.
