The Latest Trends In Package Design

This is another article related to package design, one of my favorite subjects. I know I post a lot of news regarding this type of design but I’m really addicted to ingenious projects. In this article I have collected some new concepts that are already in production. Personally I’m very impressed by El Kombo and Allotinabox.

Ella’s Kitchen

“Integrated brand design agency Blue Marlin is helping much-loved organic kids and baby food brand Ella’s Kitchen to maintain its phenomenal success with delicious new packaging that makes it easier for mums to navigate and that practically jumps off the shelf at you. The new look has just gone on sale and is being rolled out at the beginning of June.”

El Kombo

El Kombo was a virtual Mexican restaurant, which was designed to bring the restaurant feel home to your living room. It was equal parts packaging and food design, created to fit each other perfectly. Our main focus was to bring an extra dimension to the traditional take away experience. To get the eaters attention, we put a syringe on the outside of the box that was to be  “injected”according to how hot you wanted the meal to be.

Amelie and Friends

West Sussex based Restaurant owners Rowland and Mary Leach asked ilovedust to work with them on the branding of their brand new restaurant in Chichester. With 2 Michelin Star chefs in the kitchen and an endless supply of local produce to chose from, the kitchen produces some of the finest and most original food and pastries all made fresh daily on the premises. ilovedust worked on all the branding elements plus packaging and the whole interior design aspect with 44thHill.com.

Kido Milk

Esra Oguz redesigned Kido Milk Packaging. The flavors are Strawberries, Banana, and Chocolate. We think it is really cute and sure will make all the “Kidos” smile.

Canadian Winter Survival Kit

The goal of this project was to design a kit that needed to be assembled. The idea of a Canadian Winter Survival Kit was born and the logo, labels and packaging were designed. The kit contains a pair of wool socks, a lift ticket, a condom, 3 bottles of beer, 3 bottles of Screech and an instruction card.  The instruction card was designed to accomodate the lift ticket, which slips into a sleeve to hold it in place, and the “convelope” which houses the condom is affixed to the front of the sleeve.  This card then slides into the box.
