The Beautiful Provence in 38 Images

is a region of south eastern France on the Mediterranean adjacent to Italy. It is part of the administrative region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Some of the emblematic icons of Provence are the lavender fields, the Mont Saint Vincent so often painted by Cézanne, the olive trees and  the dry rocky coastline with its scented stunted pine trees. Provence is famous for all sorts of things: Its amazing landscapes, the special light which incited many artists such as Van Gogh and Cézanne to paint them: The fields of flowers and lavender that are grown to make expensive French perfumes; the wonderful food and the delicious fruit that grown there. Below you can see a few picturesque photos from Provence that show how beautiful this place is.
