The most effective logos are the symmetrical ones. For examples : Mercedes, Bmw, Mc Donald’s, Toyota, Audi, Rolex etc. Symmetrical logos have great succes because they combine simplicity with “a story” . Most great logos can be explained, they deliver a message.

I beg to differ!! “Symmetrical logos have great succes because they combine simplicity with “a story” ANY logo that combines successfully combines simplicity with a story is, well, successful. Being symmetrical has nothing to do with it. (Examples: Coca-Cola, Nike, Apple, Disney, Jaguar, Subway… I could go on and on.) The majority of the logos above are lovely, and happen to be symmetrical. They are not successful because they are symmetrical.
