Awesome Geek Art – Painted Motherboards

If you want to give an art-related gift to a computer geek, you should check out check out these painted motherboards. They are made by Arizona-based artist,  Joe Dragt. Joe first got the idea of using motherboards as canvases for his art earlier this year, when his full-time job required him to take more than 30 old computers to be recycled. Looking at that huge stack of computers, the idea just hit him. Instead of seeing old, downtrodden and beige, he figured the circuitry of their motherboards would make for really great art backgrounds.

I am running for RAW artist of the year, please go to the following link, register, and vote for me! After registering, you will have to click on a city, please choose Phoenix, then a category, please choose visual artist. Look for my name (Joe Dragt), click my photo, then click vote! Seems like a lengthy process, I wish that after registering to vote, they would spit you back to my voting page, but that would make too easy on everyone!
